The girls had a frighted look on their faces nearly every time they went down but they would always jump off and scream, "I want to go again!"

Top of the hill...Jenna is stepping outside her comfort zone by going down by herself. Way to go Jenna!

This is the story; girls want to go down with mom one more time, we need help getting start down, Chase so kindly volunteers, right as we get going-Chase decides he wants to join us. Now, if you could see our faces close up you'd be cracking up. Mine is saying, "OH NO!" and Chase's is saying, "OH YEAH!" We all made it down safe and sound though. All's well that ends well:-).

We had so much fun that we are taking the kids again tomorrow since more snow is on the way.

December 29; I take the kids ice skating to a little outdoor rink here in South Jordan. It is so fun to see how much joy my kids get from small and simple things.

Chase-unless this boy breaks a bone he never gives up or cries. He is one tough boy with a lot of sweet spirit.

Tyler's skates weren't comfortable so he wore his shoes and did what all big brothers do...terrorized his younger brothers (and sisters).

Meagan- I just want to kiss every little freckle of this girls nose just looking at this picture!

I was very impressed that a 68 year old man woul attempt this. Way to go Dad!

After about 4 falls he decided enough was enough (which I was grateful for seein' how I didn't want to end up in the hospital).

Of coarse we brought penty of hot chocolate and everyone loved it as much as the skating. So did I...maybe that is why I am up at 4 am writing this blog.

The only thing missing from these moments/pictures are all our cousins. We wish that you were here. We hope you are having a great Christmas too and send out love and hugs!

My Ry guy at 11 yrs old. Happy birthday! Ryan is a very kind hearted, grounded, full of energy and love boy. He is very tender hearted and has a very strong spirit. Thank you for making my life more enjoyable, Ryan! I love you past the moon and back!

Thanksgiving weekend

We are thankful for family and friends this Thanksgiving season! Here are pictures of everyone right before we all started digging in to the feast!

The day after Thanksgiving we rode the tram downtown to watch the Christmas lights come on on Temple square. Meagan entertained Grandma the whole way down with her singing (the same song over and over...LOL!)

Jenna can't get enough attention from Grandpa and Grandma. The kids (we) were all excited they could come from warm California to spend Thanksgiving with us.

Dave has a great view from his office onto temple square so we played some games, drank hot chocolate and waited in the warm office (teehee) for the lights to come on.

Had to take a family picture before we got back on the tram to go home and feast again.

As most of you know, the BYU/Utah game was Saturday. We had 3 Ute fans in the house so we BYU fans made a bet. The losing team has to make pancakes for breakfast the next morning in the color of the winning team and in the shape of either a "Y" or "U".

Needless to say, here are 2 of our 3 Ute fans making blue pancakes in the shape of a "Y" for the rest of the family:-). GO COUGARS!

Our October fun

On the menu at the Boden home; Pumpkin Spice pancakes shaped like bats, ghosts and jack-o-laterns for breakfast.....

For family night we all carved pumkins and for dessert we had salted pumpkin seeds.

Not sure what sweet little Chase's was....he is so dang cute.

Dave had a contest at work and won second place. He did a skeleton. The picture doesn't do any of them any justice.

and Meagan is none other than Raggedy Ann. (Note to all: do NOT use "color-stay" lip gloss as halloween makeup unless you want it to be permanent for 2 or 3 days. Soap doesn't get it off. It has to fade...LOL).

We ended October by playing Hide-and-go-seek in the dark (great timing since it gets dark sooner with the time change...we fit it in before bedtime:-0).
